Reneé Rapp showed love for her Mean Girls character at the premiere of the new Mean Girls movie musical in New York. She wore a redesigned version of one of the famous outfits from the original film. The 23-year-old actress paid tribute to her character Regina George’s original Spring Fling dress by donning a Christian Siriano spring 2024 design. The outfit featured a corset and tuxedo dress.

The corset was placed over a black satin tuxedo-style jacket with shoulder pads and a peak collar. The dress extended to the actress’ feet in black satin, with a deep slit and a short train in the skirt of her premiere look.
She completed her look with black and silver rings, chunky silver drop earrings, and black leather pointed heels. Her blonde bangs were styled in a relaxed blowout.

Rapp took inspiration from the original Spring Fling costume, a baby pink satin strapless dress worn by Rachel McAdams. The look also included the character’s neck and back brace wrapping around her waist and head.
Rapp posed with original star Lindsay Lohan, producer Lorne Michaels, and writer Tina Fey on the pink carpet.
Lohan, 37, wore a long-sleeved black dress with a cutout adorned with silver crystals at the Monday premiere. The dress had a slight slit revealing Lohan’s black ankle strap heels, and she paired it with matching silver earrings.

Before the premiere, Rapp and Megan Thee Stallion collaborated on the song “Not My Fault,” named after one of Lohan’s iconic lines from the film: “It’s not my fault you’re like in love with me or something!”
Rapp also released her latest version of “World Burn” on Monday.
The Mean Girls soundtrack is set to release on Friday, featuring songs from the Broadway musical performed by cast members like Angourie Rice, Auli’i Cravalho, Avantika, and more.
