Highlighting Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Canada Trip for the Invictus Games Countdown: Best Photos

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are getting ready for the 2025 Invictus Games.

They went to Canada for a celebration called One Year to Go for the Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025. The royal couple will be with athletes who will compete in the winter sports event next year.

The 2025 Invictus Games in British Columbia will be the first time it’s held in winter and the seventh one overall since Prince Harry started it in 2014.

They’re in Whistler, where it’s really cold, meeting with military people and veterans who are showing what they can do even after getting hurt.

Harry and Meghan wore warm clothes to stay cozy in Whistler. They talked to athletes who were skiing with special equipment.

Before the 2025 Invictus Games, they’re visiting the camps where athletes from different countries are training for the event next year.

During their visit, Prince Harry tried skiing himself to get a feel for what the athletes do.

In the games next February, athletes will compete in new sports like skiing, snowboarding, and others.

Prince Harry started the Invictus Games in 2014 after being in the army. Its name means “unconquered” in Latin.

People talked to some athletes about how they’re getting ready for the 2025 games.

One athlete, Ivan Morera, is learning to ski and snowboard. He’s excited to meet Prince Harry and thank him for the opportunity to compete.

Another athlete, Rosa Sanchez Bermudez, is the first woman from Colombia to compete in the Invictus Games. She’s happy to meet Harry and Meghan for the first time.

Prince Harry said in an interview two years ago that the Invictus Games changed his life. He has a lot of respect for the athletes and their families who sacrifice a lot for their service.
