Pedro Pascal won a big award at the SAG Awards 2024! He won for his acting in The Last of Us, beating out actors from other shows like Succession and The Morning Show.
When Pascal accepted his award, he admitted he was a little drunk because he didn’t expect to win. He thanked HBO and his family, and then said he might have a panic attack and had to leave.
Afterwards, Pascal said he didn’t remember his speech and joked about watching it on YouTube later.
Pascal plays Joel in The Last of Us, a guy trying to save the world with a girl named Ellie. He and the actress who plays Ellie, Bella Ramsey, became good friends while filming.
Brian Cox, who plays a rich guy on Succession, also got nominated. He said the show is like a reflection of our society and that he’ll miss working with the cast and crew.
Kieran Culkin and Matthew Macfadyen, also from Succession, were nominated too. Culkin talked about his friendship with a co-star, and Macfadyen was happy to do an American accent on the show.
Billy Crudup from The Morning Show got a nomination too. He talked about how much he enjoys playing his character.
