Sarah Paulson, who is 49 years old, was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. She’s in a Broadway play called Appropriate. She showed Fallon how she warms up her voice before going on stage.

First, she did lip trills, which are like buzzing your lips together. Then she asked Fallon to say “La la, gaga, la la, gaga, la la la.” He tried but got mixed up, and Sarah told him he wasn’t doing it right.

Then she asked him to say a tongue twister: “the lips, the teeth, the tip of the tongue” backward. He couldn’t do it, but Sarah told him to do it faster. He still couldn’t do it, and by the end, he was just saying random words.

Sarah’s play opened in December, and she went to the opening night with her partner, Holland Taylor. They looked happy in a photo together at The Yard House Times Square in New York City.

Sarah said she’s usually separated from Holland on big nights like this, but not this time. She said Holland “deserves the grid,” meaning she deserves to be celebrated.
