The 30-year-old country singer did two things at the yearly awards show on Sunday, April 7. She was the host and she performed a new version of her first song, “Love Me Like You Mean It.”
She wore a shiny gold outfit with black tights and high heels. Ballerini sang a slower and more emotional version of her song outside, surrounded by fans holding up golden lights.

“Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 10 years. That’s crazy,” she said to the audience during her performance.
Ballerini released this new version of her 2014 song on April 5. She said on Instagram that she wanted to celebrate the start of her career and how far she’s come in the past decade.
She wrote, “Ten years ago, I was twenty, naive, and determined to share my music with the world. I’m proud to say, not much has changed… except for the amazing journey we’ve been on together.”
“Before I release new music (yes, it’s coming), I wanted to celebrate where it all began with you.”
She called “Love Me Like You Mean It” the song that started her career and said she would be performing it at this year’s CMT Awards.
Her song was nominated for an award in 2015 but didn’t win.
