Girl became a foster mother for the squirrels, that she saved during the hurricane

Real life Alvin, Simon and Theodore

There is always enough time and energy to do something good. Bailey Villavaso’s kind deed is a great example for this. The day before Hurricane Ida occurred in New Orleans, she saved three lives and changed her own.

The girl noticed something strange in their garden, when the whole city was being evacuated.

The wind was so strong, that it had knocked down one of the trees. A squirrel nest on the tree was destroyed. There were three squirrels inside, shivering from the cold. Their mother, however, was nowhere to be seen. Bailey decided to save the orphaned animals. She put them in a box and took them with her. The Villavaso family rushed away from the hurricane.

On the way, Bailey called a veterinarian she knew, and asked how to feed the squirrels and take care of them. The small animals turned out to be very active, and grateful. They were eating properly and soon began to explore the surroundings. Most of all they liked to crawl on the girl.

She named them Simon, Alvin and Theodore.

When the hurricane passed, Bailey contacted animal rights organizations.

However, it turned out that no one cared about the squirrels. The fact is, that the hurricane had knocked down many trees and there were thousands of such rescued squirrels! No one turned out to be as compassionate as Bailey. Most preferred to immediately shift responsibility to others. And then the girl decided that she would keep the squirrels, becoming their foster mother. After all, she didn’t save them for nothing.
