Messi is a beautiful cougar who lives in a small apartment in Penza. Alexander and Maria spotted the cougar at the Saransk contact zoo. The cat was only 8 months old and he was very small and sick. The cub was born in the city zoo and was sold to a petting zoo when it was 3 months old.
After thinking for three days, the couple decided to adopt the baby. They found out about all his diseases, but that didn’t prevent them from taking him.
An area of the apartment was converted to meet Messi’s needs. A place was built for him to play, all the doorposts were turned into scratching posts. He was also provided with food and water.
First, they took the pet to a veterinarians. He started a long treatment and rehabilitation journey. The baby had to undergo many procedures and receive vitamins and supplements.
The cat also needed to go for walks. To strengthen muscles and joints, they increased the load every day. He has to fight rickets for the rest of his life.
The old injury – fractures of the paw – became apparent after the cat had already overcome three kilometers. They tried to find another kind of load for Messi. The owners decided to take up training lessons for their pet.
They contacted all the trainers and handlers of the city and finally found one. The animal immediately found a common ground with him and started individual classes. A short time later, the cat and a few dogs were already part of a group.
Now the whole life of Sasha and Masha is all about their “baby”.
He, in turn, shows them endless love and affection. He also bears all procedures, including injections.
The couple always dreamed of owning a big cat, like a lynx, but never thought of owning a cougar, Maria Dmitrieva said.
Because of some health problems, Messi is noticeably smaller an ordinary cougar. The cat is now 41 kg of weight. But he is 10 times bigger than an ordinary cat.
Messi is well-mannered, sociable and very nice. He never shows aggression to anyone, easily gets along with dogs and cats, behaves himself on the street, and is a little afraid of cows)))
The couple runs their own channel, where they publish funny videos with Messi. The cat became a favorite of the public. Such a handsome guy!!!
