The dog has found new loving owners
This golden retriever once had its own home and loving owners, and then overnight Goldie was not needed by his owners. He had a hard time on the street. Street dogs did not accept the retriever, they bit the unfortunate animal. Therefore, Goldie did not come up with anything better than to hide behind an old barn. The animal control service found the poor guy, but it took a lot of time before they managed to get the retriever out of the shelter. After all, he didn’t trust anyone. Then there were months of treatment, and mental wounds also required attention. At some point, it seemed that the dog would no longer trust people. After a while, the attention paid off. It became clear that Goldie was ready to be sheltered.
For a long time there were no owners for him, but then there was a meeting with volunteers from another organization that is also engaged in animal rescue. It was love at first sight. Surprisingly, the same couple had previously taken a golden retriever from this shelter, with whom they spent a lot of happy moments and now it was Goldie who caught their attention.
The dog has found new loving owners. His name is Dakota now. Amazingly, the retriever’s heart is not stale. He found a common ground not only with people. In the house where the dog now lives, there is another pet and excellent relations have been established between them.
