Miracle horse, born after the horrible fate of his mother
This pregnant horse had a terrible fate. She was among the 29 other horses in a trailer heading to a slaughterhouse late at night.
The trailer, however, got into a horrible car accident on the 1-44 in Franklin County, Missouri. 10 horses didn’t survive the accident, two more had to be put to sleep right after it. Most of the 16 horses that survived the crash were sent to Longmeadow Rescue Cattle ranch of the Humane Society.
One month after the accident it turned out, that one of the 16 horses – Journey – was pregnant.
“We’ll be livestreaming Journey, while she’s being shipped, so that you can watch the expectant mother and her newborn foal on our webcam”.
Journey’s baby was born on August 16. He was named Cruise.
Cruise’s birth was a real miracle for the rescue center staff. “We are happy to accept the colt at Longmeadow Rescue Ranch as a new member of our huge family”.
