Officer saved puppies from a burning building

The puppies finally reunited with their mother

At 1:30a.m. Arizona firefighters received an emergency call of a burning building. By the time they arrived, the fire had already spread from the attic to the garage.

There were 2 dogs outside, but the fire brigade could hear some noise coming from the inside.

The firefighters discovered 7 puppies trapped in the garage. They were just a few weeks old.

“When they finally opened the garage door, the mother-dog ran out. Then one of the officers ran inside following the cries of the puppies”, reported Glendale spokesman José Santiago.

The officer entered the garage and, avoiding all the cars on his way, found the 7 puppies on the floor. The man put the puppies in a large metal bowl. Then the officer carefully stepped out of the garage and placed the puppies side by side, so that they could breathe fresh air. The poor things finally reunited with their mother.

There was a place for the puppies to stay until they were taken to the nearby vet clinic.

“While the Glendale Fire Department applauds the bravery of these officers, we would like to remind the public that re-entering a burning or smoke-filled house is risky and could result in serious injury or death”, the statement read.

“This is not something that ordinary people should do; instead, leave it to the care of public safety specialists”.
