The dog was on the verge of becoming a stray dog
Christine Luffey is a police officer at the Pittsburgh Police Department, USA. She was involved in the search warrant on a property, where she found this adorable Pitbull – Effie. Now they are going to be together forever!
Christine helped the search team rescue the poor dog from her cruel owners. And later, the officer adopted the Pitbull.
After her rescue, Effie was taken to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society. The 3-year-old dog turned out to weigh only 15 pounds. Effie had to undergo a surgery to help her recover and gain some weight.
Effie’s former owner – Gerald Walker Jr. was found guilty of deliberately maiming the animal. The man was sentenced to 18 months of probation and a lifetime ban from owning any animals.
Because of these sentences, Effie was on the verge of becoming a stray dog.
