Nicolas Cage Opens Up About His Oscars Interaction with Bradley Cooper: ‘I Really Look Up to Him’

Nicolas Cage really likes Bradley Cooper and thinks he’s a great actor. Cage, who won an Oscar when he was 60, went to the premiere of his new movie “Arcadian” at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas. He was there just one day after going to the Oscars in Los Angeles.

On the red carpet, Cage told PEOPLE magazine that he wants to work with Cooper. He said, “I think Bradley Cooper is a great actor. I admire what he’s done.” Cage also said he had a chat with Cooper at the Oscars and told him he was impressed with his work.

Cooper, who is 49, directed his first movie “A Star Is Born” in 2018. He got nominated for several Oscars this year for “Maestro,” a movie he wrote, directed, and acted in.

Cage won his Oscar in 1996 for “Leaving Las Vegas.” He was at this year’s Oscars as a presenter, introducing Paul Giamatti.

Matthew McConaughey, who won his Oscar in 2014, praised Cooper at the ceremony. He called him a “modern-day renaissance man” and praised his work on “Maestro.”

At the South by Southwest festival, two of Cage’s young co-stars from “Arcadian” talked about working with him. They said Cage was calm on set and easy to work with. They appreciated his willingness to collaborate and help them with their scenes.
