Robert Downey Jr. won a Best Supporting Actor Oscar. He thanked his kids in his speech: Exton, 12, and Avri, 9, with his wife Susan, and Indio, 30, from a previous marriage.
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Robert, 58, and Susan, 50, talked about their happy family life. They met while filming a movie in 2003 and have been producing movies together since then.

At home, Robert is playful and funny, just like he is at awards shows. Susan says everyone loves his playful attitude. He gets involved in whatever hobbies his kids are into. A while back, they were into making art with pancake batter, and Robert got all the supplies they needed.
Nowadays, the kids are into music. Susan says all three of their kids play instruments, and Robert loves to play music with them. Sometimes, though, the kids just want to play without him singing along.
Robert enjoys family life. He even talks to Susan about painting the kitchen. At dinner, he’s always reminding everyone to come to the table on time. Susan jokes that he’s the perfect date because he’s always on time.

Before the Oscars, they spent time watching their kids play baseball, which helped take their minds off the big day.
When they’re not playing baseball, the kids joke around with their dad a lot. Susan says humor was a big part of Robert’s family growing up, and he passes that on to their kids. The kids aren’t afraid to tease him, which Susan thinks is funny.
