Sofía Vergara and Joe Manganiello have finished sorting out their divorce eight months after they announced they were splitting up.
Reports show that the former Modern Family star, 51, and Magic Mike actor, 47, agreed to divide their stuff according to their prenup. They didn’t share any joint possessions during their marriage. They’re also keeping their own personal belongings like jewelry and clothes, plus any money they earned after they split on July 2, 2023.
They’ve both decided not to ask for money from the other after the divorce.
This paperwork comes after they reached an agreement to finalize their divorce a couple of months ago. In February, they filed papers saying they both agreed on how to divide everything.
Manganiello asked the court to end any financial support between them, and they agreed on who would pay for their legal fees.
They announced their split in July through a statement to Page Six. They got married in November 2015 but decided to end things after being together for seven years.
“We’ve decided to get divorced,” they said in the statement. “As two people who still care about each other, we’re asking for privacy as we figure out our new lives.”
Just two days later, Manganiello officially filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences.” He mentioned they had a prenup. Vergara later filed her own papers asking the court to respect the prenup.
In January, Vergara told a Spanish newspaper that one reason for their split was because Manganiello, who is younger, wanted to have children, but she didn’t want to become a mom again.
“I had a son when I was 19, who is now 32, and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mom,” she said. “So, if love comes along, he has to come with his own kids.”
She added that she’s almost in menopause and wants to focus on other things now. Since then, both Vergara and Manganiello have started new relationships. Manganiello is dating actress Caitlin O’Connor, and Vergara has been seen out with orthopedic surgeon Justin Saliman.
