Cleveland. For the first time in her entire service, Hannah was sent far from home – to Oklahoma.
She was away for 3 months. Together with her family, her old dog Baddie was waiting for her at home.
While Hannah wasn’t home, the behavior of the golden retriever changed a lot. She has arthritis and also has problems with hearing, and because of this she has difficulties with going up and down the stairs. Hour-long walks were replaced by short stays in fresh air.
When the girl returned home, and Baddie saw her, she was amazed. She lay down next to her favorite owner, rested her head on her lap hugging the girl with her paws. Seemed like she was willing to kiss her.
As Hannah told later, during the time she was at home, the dog became cheerful and very active. She started to play and even danced cheerfully. Baddie is already 13 years old, and Hannah is afraid she would one day lose her favorite dog and never see her again.
