Boy met a friend with the same misfortune and beat complexes!

The boy finally accepted himself with the help of his new friend!

Stories about children and dogs are always touching and interesting. But believe me, the story we have prepared today, will forever find a special place in your hearts!

Meet Carter Blanchard from Searcy, Arkansas, who was diagnosed with one of the rare forms of skin disease vitiligo.

His mother Stephanie Adcock was very worried about the mental state of the child, knowing how difficult it is to learn to accept yourself and resist others at such a young age:

“Carter began to attend school where there were a good number of children. And his appearance was changing quickly. The first thing he said when he got into the car was that he hated his face and the way he looked!”

The first time doctors diagnosed Carter with vitiligo was at kindergarten, when white spots appeared around the boy’s eyes. Since then his self-confidence began to go down followed by disappointment and complexes…

Stephani hopelessly tried to hep her child, and her prayers finally reached the heavens!

One day, while scrolling down the news feed on Facebook, the woman came across a photo of a wonderful and charming dog with painfully familiar white spots around the eyes. After searching for several hours, she managed to find out that it was a purebred 13-year-old black Labrador Roadie from Oregon, who was also diagnosed with vitiligo, and even in the same year as Carter.

“I read that Roadie had the same disease as my son, and was amazed! And the most interesting thing is, that when I showed Roadie to Carter, he got so excited that Roadie was not ashamed of her unique appearance at all. Moreover, she was proud of it!”

Fortunately, thanks to kind-hearted people and their donations on the internet, Carter and his mom were able to go to Canby, Oregon. There they met the new friend and her owner Niki Umbenhauer.

As soon as Carter saw the four-legged creature so similar to him, he stroke and cuddled the dog for two hours!

“When we entered Roadie’s room, it seemed like we had always been there. The Labrador and my son were like close friends. And it seemed that Roadie could feel what was going on inside my son and tried to help him. I know that no human being could deal with this. That should have been a dog. That should have been Roadie…”

And now you will definitely smile, when you learn what Carter said about his new friend:

“I guess Roadie still doesn’t completely look like me. She lacks a couple more spots on her back!”
