The family of Oksana Kobeletskaya and Sergey Semenov until 2015 was no different from others – mom, dad, and daughter Alice. A couple of years after the birth of the eldest daughter, the couple began to think about a brother for Alice.
When Oksana and Sergey found out at the ultrasound that they were going to have five children, they were just stunned. Such a number is typical for IVF, but not for a natural pregnancy. This is a unique case. One in 85 million.
Doctors in Odessa immediately suggested reduction — to remove several embryos so that the rest would develop better. Oksana didn’t like this idea. She decided, she would give birth and bring upas many as God gave.
But the husband was not enthusiastic about such an idea. And then he left Oksana for the first time.
He left, however, not for long. Apparently, the parents pressed, or maybe conscience played its role. The couple spent the remaining months before the end of pregnancy together. In 2016, the quintuplets were born. The babies weighed very little: 1200-1900 gr.
David, twin boys Denis and Vlad and twin girls Sasha and Dasha have become a real sensation not only in Odessa, but all over the world. A bunch of journalists came running. The mayor immediately handed the couple the keys to a brand new five-room apartment.
While mom and her quintuplets were in hospital, nurses helped her in everything. But after discharge, only her mother and husband turned out to help her. Sergey tried to help Oksana in everything for the first months. Swaddled, bathed, fed the babies. It took a lot of time to design a new living space and repair it.
Helped over and over and…got exhausted. At first, he said that he was very tired and needed time to rest. According to Oksana, she turned a blind eye to this male weakness of Sergey. She was as tired as her mom, but only he could afford to hang out for three hours over a game of tanks on the computer.
The kids demanded constant attention to themselves. To change everyone’s clothes, bathe and feed – these actions took three hours. Then the children fell asleep for a couple of hours, giving the women a little respite. Nights were the most difficult. Oksana slept very little, unlike her husband, who refused to get up to the kids at night.
David, the twin boys Denis and Vlad and the twin girls Sasha and Dasha were just over six months old when Sergey left the family and filed for divorce. No one knows the true reason of the spouses. We can only make assumptions.
Then the most interesting thing began. After the divorce, Sergey did not pay alimony to his six children:
I’m not a fully able-bodied person. I was injured while still married. I do not have the physical ability, so to speak, and can’t help Oksana Vadimovna now, financially.
Oksana only laughs at these statements. Well, okay, there is no money, come help, give all possible help. The kids are very active, constantly breaking and destroying something. Sergey did not visit the children at all. Neither the quintuplets, nor the eldest Alice.
And Oksana, maybe, wanted to suffer and cry from the heart, but there was no time. The children took most of the time. She learned to drive a minibus to take children to kindergarten, hospital and educational clubs.
Kind people have created a special help fund for her. Anyone can help this family financially. As a mother with many children, she receives benefits and assistance from the state. In addition, Oksana, being on maternity leave, learned how to earn.
She simply became a blogger. 100 thousand people follow the life of this unusual family. Children take part in advertising shoots. The family does not need much money.
Oksana was able to swim out at a difficult moment in her life, did not abandon her children. She did not pretend to be weak. And what about Sergey? The man, the father of the family…
