The nurses didn’t know the mother was noting everything they did! 🤯 Read what happened in the children’s hospital in the comments 🤔👇
Shelby Skiles stayed at Children’s Medical Center Dallas with her 2-year-old daughter, Sophie, who has a severe form of cancer. She couldn’t sleep one night and started writing about the nurses who have helped her family.
Sophie has been in the hospital since May, getting treatment for her cancer. Because of the chemotherapy, Sophie couldn’t walk, talk, or feed herself.
One night, Shelby couldn’t sleep, so she started writing about the nurses. She noticed all the little things they do, like sitting with her when she was upset.

Shelby shared her appreciation for the nurses on Facebook, and it got a lot of attention. The nurses at the hospital were grateful for Shelby’s post. They said their job is tough, but they do it because they care about the kids.
Sophie will stay in the hospital until at least January, then move to a nearby house. She’ll still need therapy and check-ups at the hospital.

Shelby thinks the nurses are amazing for taking care of sick kids and their parents.
