This is a form of art called constant loops, where the objects create the illusion as if they are moving continuously. But the longer you focus on the object, the more complicated everything gets. It seems to you that the objects suddenly change their “moving direction”, however, this is just an illusion.
How does this optical illusion work?
Dr. Gustav Kuhn from Goldsmith University, London, explains that optical illusions help experts understand how human brain works. “We usually take perception for granted, and rarely think about the hard work that carry daily tasks.”
The blocks, in fact, change shapes, and this creates the illusion that they are changing their moving direction.
