Shaun Robinson: Lack of Basic Communication Before Marriage Makes 90 Day Fiancé ‘Crazy’

Shaun Robinson has an idea about why there’s so much drama on the TV show 90 Day Fiancé.

The host of 90 Day Fiancé, who is 61 years old, thinks that the reason for all the craziness is that the couples don’t talk to each other enough before they get married.

“They didn’t always talk well before they got married, even about the basics,” she told PEOPLE at the A World of Good Gala. “They didn’t ask simple questions. That’s probably why there are so many crazy things that happen because they just didn’t discuss all the important things before they said, ‘I do.'”

“They didn’t ask questions like, ‘Do you want to have kids? What’s your religion?’ Even though they’ve been dating for a long time, they never talked about these things,” she continued. “I don’t know why they didn’t ask these questions.”

Robinson mentioned some of the wild things that have happened on the show, like one person giving annulment papers to their partner and someone else exposing themselves on camera. There have also been many arguments and people storming off.

“We just did another tell-all episode,” Robinson hinted. “I can’t wait for you to see it. It’s really crazy. But these people are very passionate.”

She also pointed out that 90 Day Fiancé is different from other dating shows because the couples are already in a relationship before they join the show.

“Out of all the dating shows on TV, this is the only one where the couples are already together,” she explained. “So there’s something real about their relationships, even though they can be crazy sometimes.”

Despite all the drama, Robinson said she’s having a great time as the host of the show.

“It’s a lot of fun,” she said. “When I first started, I didn’t think it would last very long. But it just kept going. They even have 12 spinoff shows now. People from all over the world send me messages about the show. It’s amazing.”
