Dakota Johnson’s Candid Reaction to ‘Big’ L.A. Earthquake During Interview: ‘Spooky!’

Dakota Johnson has found herself in yet another viral moment, this time reacting to an earthquake that struck Southern California recently.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight in Los Angeles, the 34-year-old actress displayed her trademark nonchalant response to the 4.6-magnitude quake that occurred mid-conversation.

In a clip shared by the outlet, when asked if the shaking was indeed an earthquake, Johnson’s reaction was subtly surprised. “Did you just do that?” someone off-screen quipped to her, to which she calmly responded, “Did I?”

Unfazed by the seismic interruption, Johnson humorously remarked, “Do you like that we all just sat here? Fabulous.”

Despite the uncertainty of how to proceed after the quake, she suggested to the interviewer, “continue, I guess.”

However, Johnson casually noted, “there will be an aftershock,” matter-of-factly mentioning, “That was a big earthquake. Spooky!”

At the L.A. premiere of “Madame Web,” Johnson spoke with ET once more, reflecting on the earthquake incident. “Well, I feel like, you know, we live in California,” she told the outlet on the red carpet. “What are you gonna do? Freak out about an earthquake?”

She also pointed out the lack of adherence to earthquake safety measures during the Friday interview, stating, “None of us did. Nobody did that.”

While joking about her ability to cause an earthquake in real life during her ET interview, her character in “Madame Web” does possess supernatural powers. Johnson described her character, Cassandra, as “a paramedic in Manhattan who develops the power to see the future and realizes she can use that insight to change it,” according to an official synopsis.

“Forced to confront revelations about her past, she forges a relationship with three young women bound for powerful destinies — if they can all survive a deadly present.”
