A shepherd dog, that was obviously in trouble, was sitting at a grocery store in Omsk. Judging by her appearance, She either collided with a car face to face, or became a victim of human aggression. The dog spent several days in this condition, until volunteers from “Omskiye Khvostiki” came to her aid.
The dog was brought to the animal shelter in this depressed condition. It turned out to be quite an old shepherd with numerous injuries. The vets began to treat him, and the volunteers to look for his new owners. Clearly the dog didn’t spend his whole life on the streets.
In a few weeks the dog came back to normal, however, his owners didn’t appear. The volunteers had to put the eight-year-old shepherd with a difficult past in a big cage, where he didn’t have much freedom. The new pet was named Max.
Max perfectly knew how to guard the territory, so he didn’t let everyone near him. And what happened to him in the past had left an imprint on his behavior: He didn’t trust people and stayed away from them. However, as soon as someone made friends with him and got to know him better, he immediately began to wag his tail in a friendly way and fawn on his fellow.
Nearly no one paid attention to Max with a complicated past. Who in this society needs an eight-year-old dog with problems? But soon Max found a friend who regularly visited him, attended classes with a cynologist, went out for walks with the puppy and communicated with him.
One day this man, who brought light to Max’s life, decided to take he dog to his house. Special for him, the owner built a specious aviary on his territory, where Max could feel comfortable.
Now Max has a loving owner, who is disturbed neither by the pet’s age, nor his difficult past. We wish them a happy future together full of bright moments and joy!
