The little boy hated weekends, because he didn’t want to go home. And this is what his classmate did…
The man shared this story on Facebook. He noticed, the food in in cupboard was disappearing: a cereal box, fruit, canned food, more recently a loaf of bread with a jar of peanut butter. Turned out the one stealing the food was his daughter Janie. Every day before going to school, the girl would put some food in her backpack.
When the father asked what it was for, the girl burst into tears and told him about her classmate who hated weekends. The boy and his younger brother jus had nothing to eat at home. And at school they eat in the cafeteria. Janie would put the food into his backpack – she didn’t want to give it to him openly, so that he won’t be ashamed.
The girl’s father was shocked by this story. He writes that their neighborhood is quite rich, and he couldn’t even guess there were people in need of food.
He posted this story on Facebook, so that we would think about the fact that we can never know for sure how people around us live and suffer. And before judging them, we should consider a little bit. After all, it’s better to offer even a little help.
Janie’s father told the school dean about the boy from a poor family. He promised to do everything possible to help their family.
Now the man puts more food in the cupboard. And they, as usual, disappear from there
