George works as a rescuer. He knows that many animals die because of the forest fires that are common in his area. Every day he goes in search of those who needs his help. And one time he returned home with a small lynx and a frown. They didn’t stand a chance of survival or to escape from the fire all by themselves. This is why he made up his mind.
There are two possible things to consider in this situation…
One of them is the idea, that the wild should stay wild, with no human interaction.
And the second is, that we – humans – should do our best to help and rescue animals in need.
George made his choice. He was sure, the animals wouldn’t survive without his help. So he decided to keep them.
It was not a piece of cake to get used to living with a lynx. But soon, all the family members understood one truth: the lynx will never harm or offend anyone. She is just immensely grateful for his help.
The animals grew up together. Every day George’s family realized it wouldn’t be easy to let them go.
They called the lynx Benjy.
The little deer also made friends with the lynx.
These two also got along with the dogs living in George’s house.
George saved these little creatures, and did whatever his heart told him to. After all, the most important thing is, that everyone in the family is happy and healthy.
