Rescuers were amazed by their strong friendship
The heroes of this article are this large turtle and his best friends – a cute little cow.
This African spurred tortoise is Leonardo. He was saved from a Thai zoo back in 2013. The turtle was completely alone at that time. He then visited a wildlife rescue organization in Thailand that gives shelter to hundreds of abandoned animals.
This organization is like a refuge for animals. He felt great there, but wanted to move on.
Cue Simon is a cow, who was found with his mother foraging in a maze of vines. This cute baby cow misses one of his legs. The animal rescue provided him with prostheses, so he could walk. However, it turned out, that Simon had other plans. The rescuers had intended to represent Simon to the other cows at the sanctuary.
The rescuers wanted to give him some freedom in a field, so he could rebuild his vigor. Then they took him to a building, like a home, with two other rescued cows.
When Simon met Leonardo, they liked each other from the first sight. The rescue center staff was amazed by their friendship.
They build a strong bond between each other in a very short period. They always eat, play and have fun together.
This special bond keeps growing stronger over time.
