Such a treatment towards pets is cruel and unacceptable!
No matter what, it is unacceptable to abandon your beloved pet for a new, younger one.
However, there are many cruel people, capable of such heartless things.
A stray dog named Cookie is a victim to such owners. Volunteers at San Bernardino shelter found her wandering on the street. After being accepted to the shelter, the staff took up the business of finding her owners. They finally managed to get in touch with her family, but they did the unimaginable. For some reason, these people wanted to get rid of their dog of 15 years just because they wanted to adopt a younger one.
Cookie was left alone, crying bitterly, unable to understand what was happening. The scene was rather agitating.
The shelter staff started looking for another permanent and loving family for our Cookie. However, adoption was not easy in her case, as she was not in a proper health condition. They have found her a foster family, where she is going to spend the rest of her days.
We wish this adorable dog a life full of joy and happiness.
Cookie’s story had a happy ending, but all pets and animals are as lucky as her.
