Extremely beautiful and rare white elk spotted in Sweden

Just how diverse nature can be!

While elk is a really rare species. Many photographers travel extremely long distance to meet these animals, but it’s not that easy to arrange.

However, there are also lucky ones, that appear on the right place at the right time. It’s like a treasure hunt for these photographers, which actually brings fame and a lot of wealth.

Recently, a representative of this species was seen in Sweden, near the border with Norway.

Is this an albino animal? No!  Elks have a genetic disorder known as piebald.

Just by looking at these magical shots you can admire the divine beauty of these animals. Imagine what the photographers felt while taking these photos.

The author of these amazing shots is Roger Brendhagen –  a wildlife photographer. He became quite famous after winning the “once in a lifetime” chance of meeting at least one of these creatures.

The elk was not afraid of the man and just kept wandering in the forest.

In recent years, only a few white elks were noticed in Sweden and Canada. As the number of predators is decreasing, the number of elks, on contrary, is increasing.

Just how diverse nature can be! And we have only one task – to protect it with all our might!
