David Weiller and Thomas Marent are wildlife photographers. They managed to capture a unique butterfly on camera in Colombia. Especially unique and interesting are its wings. They indicate the number 88, which is considered a happy number.
“In Chinese, the number 8 is pronounced the same way as the words money, good luck and prosperity (FA). If this butterfly appears in China, people will immediately fall in love with it”.
And the butterfly itself looks gorgeous.
Diaethria anna is the scientific name of the butterfly. This species lives in Central America. Locals call these butterflies Anna’s eighty-wight. However, the number 88 is not clearly visible on the wings of all butterflies of this species. This specific one is just perfect!
