We are used to seeing lions of reddish-brown color. White is a rare color among lions and is a result of mutation. These lions are not a subspecies and inhabit Timbavati region in South Africa.
White lions were first presented to the public in 1970s in Chris Mac Bride’s book “The White Lions of Timbavati”. Their appearance impressed everyone.
Currently, most white lions live in zoos where they can preserve their unique genes. And here are 5 newborn white lions that look just wonderful. Dozens of journalists and photographers came to see them with their own eyes.
