After being sick for weeks, Richard Gere is now recovering in México with his family by his side. The actor was in a family vacation in Nuevo Vallarta when he caught pneumonia. He checked into hospital and is now recovering.
The family was celebrating Alejandra Silva’s 40th birthday with the kids, when they all got sick. Later, Alejandra updated on their well-being with a post on her Instagram account.
“Thank you all for the birthday wishes.. after almost 3 weeks of everyone being sick in our family today finally I feel much better! Thank you for all the love I give it all back to you”, wrote the woman.

TMZ was the first to report the news, saying that the “Pretty Woman” actor had developed a bad cough, which was later diagnosed as pneumonia.
Gere spent a nigh at hospital and was discharged in the morning. He is prescribed antibiotics which will help him recover.
