A man from Georgia planned a special surprise for his girlfriend who loves Peeps candy.
Matthew Rivera took his girlfriend Carly Jessup on a trip to Philadelphia. They stayed at a fancy hotel called Home2 Suites by Hilton in Easton, Pa. The hotel had a special room called the Sweet Suite, all decorated with Peeps stuff. Matthew surprised Carly by proposing to her in that room, with the help of the Peeps chick mascot.
The Sweet Suite is only available for a short time, from March 18-29. Matthew knew Carly loved Peeps, so he quickly booked a stay for them. Carly has been collecting Peeps things since she was a kid, so Matthew thought she’d love it.
Matthew realized he could make the trip even more special by proposing to Carly there. He contacted the company that makes Peeps, and they helped him plan the proposal.
When the time came, they were in the colorful suite getting ready when there was a knock on the door. The Peeps chick came in carrying a basket with a special Peeps chick inside. Matthew got down on one knee and asked Carly to marry him. She was really surprised and happy.
Carly said it was the perfect proposal for her because she loves Peeps so much. They first met in college and reconnected later. Matthew thinks Carly is the most beautiful person inside and out.
He loves how kind and loving Carly is, and she inspires him every day. Now they’re engaged and excited for their future together.
