The WWE legend հաս developed a remarkably positive and healthy mindset
In a recent “Gym & Fridge” video featured in Men’s Health, the legendary WWE icon, who is now 69 years old, discussed his decision to abstain from alcohol. He reflected on his past wrestling days when he would consume three Miller Lites and two Tylenols before a match, followed by about 12 Miller Lites after a match. However, he has now completely eliminated alcohol from his life and has not had a drink for the past six months.
Explaining his reasons for going alcohol-free, he mentioned that he used alcohol as a way to numb himself due to various business and personal problems he was facing. Recognizing that he was becoming overly dependent on alcohol after his training sessions, he made the decision to quit.
These days, Hogan primarily drinks water and focuses on consuming organic foods. He acknowledged that he never received proper education regarding the quality of food when he was younger, but now he is learning what types of food are best for his overall well-being.

As he approaches his 70th birthday, Hogan is committed to maintaining his gym routine and achieving a leaner physique. Since making these lifestyle changes, he has already lost 40 pounds and continues to make progress. The toll that wrestling took on his body became evident around 15 years ago when he experienced multiple knee surgeries, followed by a cascade of back surgeries, facial surgeries, and the replacement of both knees and hips. In total, he underwent approximately 25 to 26 surgeries over a span of 10 to 12 years.
These experiences forced Hogan to completely alter his lifestyle. He realized that carrying excess weight was detrimental, especially when he was no longer actively wrestling. Consequently, he decided to shed weight and reach a target of around 265 pounds. Remarkably, this would be the first time he weighed that amount since his ninth grade.
Since prioritizing his health, Hogan’s overall well-being has significantly improved. He follows a clean eating regimen and maintains a consistent workout routine. He expressed feeling great without the burden of alcohol and emphasized that even though he experiences some pain due to his past injuries, it serves as a reminder that he is alive and actively taking charge of his health.
