Bizarre Lawsuit Alleges Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Lopez Involved in Surveillance, Identity Theft, and Stalking

The legal documents filed in New York raise strange accusations against Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, alleging their involvement in the installation of bugs and surveillance. They, along with their colleague Jennifer Lopez, could find themselves on trial. A New York lawyer has filed a peculiar lawsuit, accusing Ben Affleck and Matt Damon of stalking and eavesdropping on her home to gather information about her personal life. The woman also accuses the stars of a hacking attack that compromised her devices. Additionally, she claims to have received threats of abduction and assault.

The lawsuit also claims that her identity served as a prototype for characters in several movies. In addition to Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, claims are made against Casey Affleck, Ben’s brother, and Jennifer Lopez, as well as several other actors. Apart from individuals, the lawsuit is filed against Dimension Films, Disney, Lionsgate, Warner Bros, and Paramount Pictures, accusing them of stalking and plagiarism.

Following a car accident in 1985, the plaintiff sustained serious scars and suffered temporary memory loss. She noticed these injuries depicted in a film featuring one of the characters. The legal documents also allege that she watched “Maid in Manhattan” (2002) multiple times and found many similarities between herself and Jennifer Lopez’s character. In Ben Affleck’s thriller “Gone Girl” and several other films, the plaintiff claims to have discovered events and dialogues that mirrored her own life.

The woman asserts that the appearance of characters in numerous films was copied from her. Specifically, the heroines had the same hairstyles she wore at different times — “dark hair cut short or reaching shoulder length with bangs.” Furthermore, one character in a film was noticed to have the same gap between her teeth, wore candy-colored clothes just like her. The list of films from Weinstein’s company, where the plaintiff alleges the theft of her identity, includes “Details” (2011), “Spy Kids 4-D: All the Time in the World” (2011), “Scream 4” (2011), “The Railway Man” (2013), “The Butler” (2013), “St. Vincent” (2014), “Big Eyes” (2014), “Through the Snow” (2014), “Bad Santa 2” (2016), and “The Amityville Awakening” (2017).

The woman claims to have found not only her name but also objects from her home in more than 40 movies and TV shows. These items include a blue-red checkered bag, red Swiss Army knives, silver-gray stationery knives, hourglasses, a phoenix, an owl, and a painting depicting naked women covered with a sheet.

“These allegations are supported by the fact that three of them use her name or derivatives of it, another one was shot in her area, some mention the stationery knife, others the hourglass, and one mentions her birthday,” the legal documents state.

The woman also claims that Affleck and Lopez copied her personal life, with Affleck buying a house in Savannah, Georgia, after she applied for a job there, and Lopez acquiring a dog and a horse she had wanted to buy. The lawsuit mentions that Damon quoted her during a speech at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in June 2016, and Affleck got a husky and wore a pyramid-themed shirt a few days after she expressed her desire to get a rescue dog and see the pyramids in a 2017 phone call.

The woman worked at Boies Schiller & Flexner LLP in 2003 when the firm settled lawsuits against Weinstein, Miramax, and Disney. The legal documents also state that she saw Affleck several times between 2001 and 2003 — at a self-service laundry, driving a Pearl Cadillac, and in Atlantic City, where the actor was “watching her.”

The plaintiff claims that Damon started visiting the same dentist as her in 2009, and the next year, several films were shot near her home. In 2015, she was approached for permission to use her home as a filming location.

The lawsuit against Affleck includes an accusation of stalking the woman since 2002, when her car was hacked. In 2004 and 2005, she saw Affleck’s car near her office, and in 2007 in front of her New York home. In 2009, she noticed Damon walking on a nearby street. The woman also claims that in 2019, Affleck followed her on the subway, sitting in the same car, and she saw Damon standing near a restaurant where she was eating. In the same year, she had an allergy, and the symptoms were immediately replicated by J.Lo in one of her shows. The plaintiff claimed to have found an owl-shaped camera in her home after her mail was hacked, and once, waking up at night, she discovered a stranger in her bedroom.

Moreover, she alleges that in 2017, a man resembling Affleck called her, saying she was being watched, and two years later, she saw him with Damon in Manhattan. The woman also stated that from 2020 to 2022, she repeatedly noticed a Range Rover on her street similar to Ben’s. In her lawsuit, she claims to have feared for her life after hearing threats like “snitches get stitches.” She also feared abduction and assault. The plaintiff is now seeking compensation for emotional distress.

In November 2022, the lawyer already filed documents in court, but they were rejected. The new lawsuit notes an expansion of the list of accusations compared to the previous ones, as reported by the Daily Mail.
