Adam Sandler, who is 57 years old, brought his family along to the premiere of his new movie Spaceman in Los Angeles on Monday. The movie was shown at the Egyptian Theater.
During interviews, reporters asked Adam about acting alongside his daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, in several movies. Sunny recently acted as Anna in Spaceman, while Adam played Jakub Prochazka, an astronaut traveling alone to Jupiter.
When asked if casting his daughters in movies was a good way to spend time with them, Adam said, “They still don’t talk to you. They go do their thing.” He added that he tells them he loves them a lot.
Sadie and Sunny have been acting with their famous father and their model-actress mother, Jackie, 49, for over ten years. Adam and Jackie got married in 2003.
They all appeared together in the Netflix movie You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah in 2023. Sadie and Sunny also did voice work in the animated film Leo in the same year.
In Spaceman, Adam plays a serious role as astronaut Jakub, alongside Carey Mulligan. The story is about Jakub realizing his marriage might be falling apart while he’s on a long mission in space. He gets help from a strange creature named Hanuš, voiced by Paul Dano.
The movie, based on a 2017 book, will be available on Netflix starting March 1st. It also features actors like Kunal Nayyar, Lena Olin, and Isabella Rossellini.
