According to some rumors, Shakira broke up with her husband because of his infidelity.
The couple had been quiet about this family problem for a long time. But Shakira finally decided to speak about it.
In one of her recent interviews, the artist admitted, that no matter how hard it is to talk about it, there’s nothing to hide anymore.
“I kept silent and tried to get through it alone. It’s really hard to talk about it now. We divorced publicly, so it was just as hard for our children too.
The paparazzi are everywhere, there’s no where I can hide. We can’t even walk around the city like an ordinary family. I don’t want to uncover all details of our divorce. But I want to confess, I sacrificed my career and myself for our love and our family.
Our children have a real mother, and there’s a strong bond between us. That’s all I wanted to say”.
Shakira and Gerard Piqué started dating in 2010, and publicly announced it in 2011. They have 2 children together – Shasha (7) and Milan (9).
