Mollie Cohen and Andrew Berman’s Brooklyn duplex has a kitchen that was completely redone by Oliver Freundlich. In the process, they reused materials for other parts of the building and donated items to a local non-profit called Build it Green.

The couple, who enjoy cooking with Blue Apron recipes, wanted shelves above the stove to keep spices handy. Custom stainless steel shelves match the upper cabinets. The kitchen features milk glass backsplash tiles inspired by Pierre Chareau’s 1932 Maison de Verre in Paris. These tiles have a rustic touch and are paired with gray industrial grout to complete the look.
