Aleksey Prokuror, a well known animal rights activist among volunteers, accidentally noticed a post about a suffering puppy on the internet. Elderly people have found her near their apartment block, and immediately noticed that something was wrong with her: she couldn’t move, hardly breathed and didn’t let anyone near her. Alexey immediately went to the address mentioned and indecisively froze in front of the apartment block as there was no number of the entrance and no phone number mentioned in the post.
But there was no need to give up. The man decided to wait until one of the residents enters the apartment block using the intercom key. Surprisingly, the first entrance to be opened was the right one. There Alexey spotted the suffering young dog. There was a long wound on her neck. It was clear that someone had cut the poor thing and left her there.
Alexey took the doggo home, that was about 3 months old, examined her and washed the wound. Unfortunately, the puppy was already infected with sepsis, but the volunteer was sure he can help the dog. Sleepless nights, injections, bandages – and now she is able to stand on her paws and even looks gratefully at her savior. Alexey named her Lika.
Lika was slowly gaining strength and weight, her wound was healing. From a skinny, helpless dog she turned into a girl looking to the future with hope. Soon she began to give Alexey her paw, smile and even go for walks.
Lika took the leash well and behaved herself in the street. At home, whenever she heard other dogs’ noises, that were under Alexey’s care, she immediately ran to them and comforted the. She even shared the bones she had with them. This is how smart and kind girl she was.
Alexey started to look for new owners for red-haired and charming Lika. The first attempt to move to a new house turned out to be a failure: the dog didn’t like something and a week later returned to her savior. The second attempt was a success – Lika didn’t play any pranks and didn’t attempt to escape. It means, she accepter her new owner.
