Young parents – Jamie Lewis and Denina Davis – couldn’t deal with the haircut of their child in any way. For a long time they couldn’t find a specialist who managed to cut their son’s hair.
4-year-old Mason has autism. At hairdresser’s his disease is expressed with an overemotional reaction to scissors and with fear of a haircut. The emotional flurry might be so severe, that the child even starts feeling physical pain.
Luckily, the parents have recently found a kind-hearted specialist – James Williams – who managed to cut Mason’s hair.
26-year-old hairdresser made many attempts to calm down the boy and start the haircut, but Mason didn’t want to give in.
“Mason didn’t even let me come close to him and would run away from me”,- tells James.
The young man came up with an idea, when the boy was lying down on the ground and playing a game on the phone. James lay down next to his little customer and started cutting his hair.
Parents were amazed by such an act and didn’t know how to thank the hairdresser. When James was done with the haircut, he told the boy: “That’s it. High five!” At these words he came up to James and hugged him tightly.
One thing is for sure: not everyone could have done what James did. It’s not surprising, that after this he has queues of clients.
