Meet the Carlson twins! From the first sight you will not think that anything other than their extraordinary similarity can surprise you.
Actually, they are Siamese twins. The moment they were born, doctors thought their life will end soon. Their internal organs were strangely arranged, as if they were mixed up in two small bodies. For their operation, doctors underwent special training. The operation was meant to give the girls the opportunity to live separately.
Surely, the doctors understood, they were taking a huge risk. The surgeon prepared doctors for a difficult job saying there were specialist for each of the organs. However, they needed twice as much strength as usual, because they would be dealing with two patients.
In May, 2006, seventeen surgeons were to separate the girls. The operation lasted 12 hours. Then they needed 2 weeks for rehabilitation.
The family is happy. The girls love to attend gymnastics classes, study and they are always very optimistic about life.

Despite the fact, that the girls are independent and very different and they really needed to be separated, still there’s a special bond between them.
From the very first day of their birth, they still have the habit of holding each other’s hands. Even in adulthood, when they are in crowded places, they involuntarily try to hold hands.
Most probably, this is how their natural connection and need for each other is expressed.
