Celeste Ayala from Berisso, Argentina, was on duty at the Buenos Aires Children’s Hospital, when a hungry and crying baby was brought there.
The medical staff was too busy with their affairs. So the woman asked if she could hold the child and calm him down. She noticed that the child was putting his hand in his mouth. And every mother knows, that this means the child is hungry.
Here Celeste’s maternal instinct was activated. This woman, that was a young mother herself, started breast feeding the child, despite the doctors saying it was “dirty”.
Celeste told the following during her interview to local mass media: “It was so sad just to look at him. My heart was bleeding for the condition the baby was in. Society shouldn’t remain indifferent to the problems of such children. This should be stopped!”, writes Daily Mail.
According to local media, the baby is the youngest of 6 siblings in the family of a single mother. The family is now in a difficult condition. .
The Heroine
Celeste’s colleague was so impressed by her selfless act, that she took a photo of the woman feeding the child and posted it on social media with the caption: “I want to share with the public this great sign of love, that you showed to this little child you don’t even know. After all, you acted as a real mother. You didn’t even care that he was dirty, as the hospital employees told. Greta job, partner!”
The posted photo very soon went viral. 94000 users shared this post and hundreds of people left comments under it.
