Being different is something special
US resident Anna-Maria Giannini, saw an ad on the web that breeders were attaching Tibetan spaniel puppies. She went to look at the babies and immediately noticed that one of the little dogs was very different from its brothers and sisters.
“When I arrived, I was told that one of the puppies has a deformed body, and they couldn’t find a home for him. Because of this, he could have been euthanized. But I already fell in love with him and planned our next year together before the hosts finished their frightening speech,” said Anna-Maria, when she had already taken the baby home.
As it turned out, the dog has a genetic mutation, because of which its spine has not fully developed, such a disease is called short spine syndrome. This does not prevent Tilly from enjoying life.
It is only inconvenient for her to climb on a chair and take care of her fur, but Tilly’s loving owner helps her with all this. She still loves the dog as much as when they first met.
Anna-Maria Giannini said: “When I took her away, she was a small, dirty fluffy lump. She fit perfectly in my hand, and while we were driving home from there, she was lying on my lap and looking at me with her big brown eyes. I knew she needed me, and I needed her.”
She is a little offended that cruel memes are being made with Tilly, but she understands that not all people are able to perceive her unusual dog as a normal pet.
As the woman says, “Being different is something special.”
