Imagine that a car tire was put on your neck – not very impressive, right? And now imagine that it can’t be removed, and you have to spend several years like this? Horrible, and this is what the rangers freed a deer from.
For the first time, the deer with a non-standard accessory was noticed back in 2019.

Presumably, the deer got stuck in the tire a long time ago, while still being a hornless cub. However, there is a version that he could wear it in winter, when the horns are reset. But when they are on the head, it is impossible to reset the tire, as the rangers from the forest guard have seen from personal experience. The deer probably carried it for several years.
It didn’t work out to cut the tire, so they had to urgently saw the horns while the sleeping pills were in effect.
The wild animal was not easy to track down, in fact, they were looking for it all this time. And when they found it, the question arose how to approach it. Four failed attempts in a week! But in the end everything worked out, and the animal was freed from the burden.
The officers were shocked: the tire, clogged with leaves and dirt, weighed more than 16 kg!
As noted in the forest protection, there are more and more such cases. Deer are not afraid to go out to houses, and often get confused in clotheslines, nets, fences, etc. This is a real problem, both for animals and for people.
