Because of slightly similar surnames, the girls ended up in different families
It happened in 1998, when Yulia Andrushchak and Elena Andrikova, women with accordant surnames, gave birth to girls on the same day and almost at the same time. They were given the names Ira and Anya.
After the young mothers returned home, their families faced a problem – the girls looked completely different from their parents and relatives. The fathers of the newborns were the most worried.
Yulia’s husband decided that the daughter was not from him: both parents of the girl have blonde hair and skin, and their daughter has dark skin and dark hair. After a while, their family broke up, the couple divorced, and the girl stayed with her mother.
The same thing happened in Elena’s family. Her husband Neiman also wondered why his daughter was born so light, because there is no one with blond hair in the family. Their family suffered the same fate. The spouses separated, and little Anya, according to Muslim tradition, remained in the family with her father. Neiman still decided to take a paternity test, the same was done by the girl’s mother. No one could have imagined that as a result it turned out that neither of the parents is a blood relative. The girl was not theirs.
It was only after 12 years that it was possible to find out that because of slightly similar surnames, the girls ended up in different families.
After Yulia found out that her own daughter lives in a Muslim family, she wanted to take her away, but Neiman did not want to give the girl to her mother, believing that he was her parent, because he raised her.
For such confusion, the families were paid moral damages. Elena bought an apartment for Ira. And Neiman has built a house and is already going to buy another one for his daughter. The families settled nearby and the girls were able to start communicating.
Yulia was haunted by the thought that her daughter does not live with her, so she decided to sue. She won the case, now both girls live with her.
They are both already 21 years old, they live happily with their large family, and Yulia got married again and had children.
