The young hero said, he would do it again if needed
It was a cold day. Vitaly was walking with his girlfriends along the Svisloch River, when suddenly they heard cries for help. Following the voice, they found the woman who was crying for help. Turned out, there was a little boy in the water. Vitali took off his jacket and jumped into the water to save the drowning boy.
“I happened to be on the street with my girlfriend when we heard cries for help. A woman was standing on the bank of the river with her son. They were screaming, telling that there was a little boy drowning in the river. We were the only ones present there”, told Vitali.
The guy rushed to the other side of the river, as it was easier to approach the drowning from there. When Vitali caught the child, the latter was already unconscious. He pulled the boy to the shore.
Soon there were many people gathering by the river, and someone managed to call an ambulance. Doctors began to resuscitate the boy and took him to the medical center.
“My girlfriend was trying to dry me with her sweater. A stranger gave me her scarf and doctors asked me to get on the ambulance and warm up a little. Then we went home”, told the young hero.
Vitali didn’t suffer any consequences. The guy doesn’t consider himself a hero. He says his body was moving automatically.
“I didn’t consider jumping into the river for long. There was no one else to do so. Although there were two boys, standing and watching, but they couldn’t do anything. So I had to act.
Vitali was sure, the drowning boy would get well soon. He said, he would do it again if needed.
In the end, many people said Vitali acted like a real man. He’s a great person.
