This bird looks like a cartoon character
Nature loves to painting its creatures with various beautiful colors. However, it’s still a mystery how nature manages to harmonize these colors so perfectly.
The black-and-yellow broadbill has such a unique appearance, that it seems it’s a cartoon character. This little bird has many wonderful features.
The most attractive body part of this species is the beak. The head is black, and they have yellow eyes. All these features combined make these birds outstanding. They have a peach underside, and the wings are of yellow and black colors. Their plumage is really interesting. Nature surely likes taking risks.
Black-and-yellow broadbills inhabited the mountains and lowland forests of South Asia (mainly Thailand and Indonesia). These stunning creatures make various sounds and sing loudly.
They live in nests made by themselves with leaves, skeletons, moss and roots.
Unfortunately, this is an endangered species. Let’s hope that scientists will manage to breed more of black-and-yellow broadbills to stabilize their number.
