Tasmanian devils have reappeared in Australia

They look cute, but their bites are one of the strongest

Around 3000 years ago, Tasmanian devils inhabited the Australian continent. However, because of the increase of their predators, these animals completely disappeared from the continent. This endangered species now inhabit the island of Tasmania. That’s why they got the name “Tasmanian devils”.

In 2020, Aussie Ark – an Australian animal preservation project – took the responsibility of bringing these animals back into their original habitat.

Famous Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth joined this project together with his wife. They invested a lot of money and effort in this project. The spouses hope this will help increase the population of these animals.

The project is already over. The whole team has done a great job. Now these animals can live and prosper in their original habitat.

Tasmanian devils, actually, breed very well. At the moment, there are 7 newborn “devils” in the forests of Australia. This is a great success.

The babies are all healthy.

The number of these animals might reach 20 by the end of this year. Experts hope to have over 40 newborn Tasmanian devils in two years.

This creatures reach the size of a small dog. They look cute, but their bites are one of the strongest.
