What a noble deed!
Rodney Bacon was walking towards his car to get things out of his with his daughter Harper, when suddenly the girl started screaming.
The father turned to see what was happening, and heard the girl’s cry, screaming: “Why are you pushing me? Stop!”.
The family lives in Ovid, Idaho. It’s immensely how there and the area, where their house is located, is overgrown with wormwood.
The man was so puzzled in his own thoughts, that didn’t even notice how their dog had run out of the house. The dog is a German Shepherd Pitbull named Grace.
Turned out, Grace was the only one to notice several snakes near the car. He just wanted to warn the girl not to get close to the car. Then the dog attacked the snakes. While Grace was fighting with the first snake, Rodney took out his shovel and killed the second one. After the fight, Grace unexpectedly vanished from the area and didn’t return home that evening.
The family couldn’t understand where the dog went and for what reason. Grace returned the next day, terribly swollen from the snake poison.
“I guess Grace the rattlesnake managed to poison our Grace yesterday. He decided to run away to the prairies and meet his death alone. He didn’t want us to see all his sufferings. That was a noble deed”, said Rodney.
By the morning, the effect of the poison had already weakened, and the dog was able to return to his owner. The man didn’t lose time and immediately took him to a vet clinic.
The dog looked terrible. Veterinarians treated the dog and now he was feeling better. This became a life lesson for 3-year-old Harper.
