Woman couldn’t find her engagement ring, and here’s what happened

Turned out the dog was the “thief” the whole time

38-year-old Elayna Rattenbury from Worcester, UK, was shocked when she couldn’t find her engagement ring one morning. She had put it on the table the night before.

At first, she thought some robbers had broken into her house and taken it. But the woman quickly realized everything, when she found a torn box of tissues on the floor.

Turned out, that Stevie – her Labrador dog – was the “thief” the whole time.

“It was a heartbreaking moment! I looked at Stevie and thought to myself ‘She doesn’t have it, does she?’ And turned out she did have it!”, told the woman.

Elayna took the 7-month-old Labrador to a vet clinic, just to make sure she had the ring. Her worries were justified! The X-ray showed, that Stevie had swallowed her owner’s diamond ring.

The woman was relieved to know the ring wasn’t stolen. However, now there was another problem – how to get the ring back?

“The vets told me the ring was too far down. So we decided to let the nature do its job!”

“Dave – my husband – even bought a metal detector to help get the ring out. It finally showed up 4 days later”, added the woman. “I had to clean it thoroughly with soap and other products”.
