“80 For Brady”: Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field in a gorgeous group photo

We found the most amazing actresses”, the producer said

Legendary actresses Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field posed for a group photo at the premiere of their latest movie “80 For Brady” at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in California.

Before the event, 85-year-old actress Jane Fonda had revealed that she was in remission after a long fight with cancer. She was able to stop chemotherapy after undergoing treatment for 6 months. The actress posted on her social media: “Last week I was told by my oncologist that my cancer is in remission and I can discontinue chemo. I am feeling so blessed, so fortunate. I thank all of you who prayed and sent good thoughts my way.”

“I am confident that it played a role in the good news. I’m especially happy because while my first 4 chemo treatments were rather easy for me, only a few days of being tired, the last chemo session was rough and lasted 2 weeks making it hard to accomplish much of anything,” she added.

At the premiere, the group of actresses were all wearing black except for Moreno. She was wearing a red shawl fastened with a brooch, and a stylish leopard prink skirt.

“80 For Brady” is a comedy film about 4 best friends who embark on a wild trip to meet Tom Brady, whom they are all obsessed with. Tom is playing in the 2017 Super Bowl, and they want to support him. Fonda stated at the premier, that meeting Brady made her “weak” at the knees. “He was kind and humble, which is hard to believe considering how brilliant he is at what he does, but it’s true. He was also sweet and polite”, mentioned Fonda.

My knees actually got weak when he walked into my trailer. I’m in awe of that kind of skill. When somebody is the best in the world at what they do, you have to honor that and respect it. I was just awestruck. He’s a good actor. He’s very personable and unassuming […] Just looking at his face and his eyes and watching him listen to me as an actor trying to reciprocate in the same way. I felt like I was that [real-life] woman from Boston who was in her 80s. I felt, in fact, as though he was my son when I had to do this speech with him.”

Last year, Brady praised the women for their roles and great play in the movie. This is his debut feature film as a producer. “We found the most amazing actresses. Lily, Jane, Rita, and Sally. They brought it all to life. At the end of the day, watching them act and watching them perform was so cool”, mentioned the producer.
