A teenager from fidured out by himself that life doesn’t always go as planned. He felt really disappointed when he opened his own café and no customers came.
Tom Oswald, an 18-year-old from South Australia, wanted to try something different after finishing high school. Instead of following the usual path, he decided to open a small café in Handorf, near Adelaide.
Tom put a lot of effort and money into building the café, hoping it would be a success. But when he finally opened the doors, nobody showed up. He shared his sad experience on TikTok, where it got a lot of attention.
Many people felt sorry for Tom and offered to visit his café to support him. Some even planned trips just to help out.

Tom had worked at another café for two years to learn the ropes before starting his own. He admitted he still had a lot to learn, especially about making coffee, but he was determined to improve.
He said, “I just finished high school, and this café is my main focus during my gap year. I spend all my time either working at the café or figuring out ways to make it better.”
